July has been an exciting news month so far! Both Helen and Pat have been nominated and are now into the finals of two national competitions, both being recognised for their individual work here at iCareiMove® and for The Core Health Consultancy.
Helen is in the final after winning the regional Influential Woman of the Year at The Venus Awards.
Venus reaches out to women carrying out all manner of work at all levels of small, medium and giant businesses and organisations in the local community. They help to empower the less confident employee, support the high-achievers, continuously encourage the lonely entrepreneur and constantly strive to inspire everyone we touch.
The Venus Awards – dubbed by Channel 4 as “The Working Women’s Oscars” – celebrate the vital contribution that women in business make to the local, regional, and national economy.
More than 250 guests, finalists and sponsors from across the south west attended ceremony at the Crown Plaza Hotel Plymouth on Friday night (April 27), hosted by Tara Howard, founder of the Venus Awards, and regional partner, Alexis Bowater of Bowater communications.
Venus is held in high regard by industry-leading organisations which means that winning our awards carries considerable prestige and influence in today’s highly competitive workplace.
Pat is in the final for Community Hero for Woman & Home Magazine 50 Amazing Woman over 50
Woman & Home launched their 50 Over 50 Awards in partnership with JD Williams, a fabulous initiative celebrating all those midlife women making a difference. There are 10 categories in total, covering everything from the UK’s sharpest female business minds to the midlife blogs we all love to visit online.
Excitingly, they also included two reader-nominated categories, Community Heroes and Friendship Above & Beyond. This is where Pat has reached the final five in the Community Heroes category.
